Sancliff Inc. was founded in 1948 by 2 gentlemen, Sanford Kelleher & Clifford Flanders, forming the company Sancliff as yet to be incorporated. They began operations in Jefferson, Massachusetts as a wire die manufacturer & material supplier to the then vast Worcester county Wire manufacturing industry. Sanford & Clifford maintained a successful small operation through their tenure which which ended in 1970 upon the sale of Sancliff to William “Bill” Christianson. Bill was instrumental in growing Sancliff sales area which up until that time had been limited primarily to Worcester County Ma., USA. Mr. Christianson expanded the Sancliff sales reach and focused on quality manufacturing methods which were instrumental in growing the company through difficult manufacturing and economic conditions of the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. In 1983 Sancliff was acquired By William “Bill ” Drumm who was a successful purchasing executive director for GE, Greenfield Tap & Die & Coppus Engineering. The Drumm Family still owns and operates Sancliff, Inc. as a tightly help private corporation. In 1983 Bill Drumm Sr immediately moved the company to Worcester, Ma. and upgraded Sancliff’s manufacturing space from 7500 sq ft to nearly 25000sq ft. We have steadily grown our manufacturing capacity and scope and have included fiber optic coating systems, textile coatings, impregnation dies, custom sized dies, and much more. Meet The Team
Bill Drumm (President)
I began my Career here in 1994 as a sales representative and spent the next 12 years on the road meeting customers, collaborating on projects around the world and expanding my expertise in designing and producing tools & dies for the optical fiber industry and wire drawing/ cabling industry. In 2007 I assumed the role of President of the corporation succeeding my father William G. Drumm who had held the position since 1983. I then turned my focus to improving all aspects of Sancliff’s manufacturing and inspection capabilities. We now feature cutting edge technology in all departments within our organization and our capabilities, capacities & customer satisfaction continue to grow.
Rick Sealey (General Manager)
I began my career here in 1998 as a Lead Tool Maker. I transitioned to Engineering and Technical sales in 2007 and was officially appointed General Manager in 2011. Trent Drumm (Sales Manager)
I grew up in & around our company. Dies, tooling, wire and optical fiber are things I thought all families talked about around the dinner table. I am pleased to have begun my career here in 2021 as a sales representative! I recently transitioned out of the United States Marine Corps after four years of active-duty service. I have a strong base of tooling knowledge that is growing daily. I only look positively towards the future as far as what we can accomplish together with our customers. Michael Castillo (Administrative Manager)
I was born in the Dominican Republic and moved to Worcester at a young age of 13 years old. After graduating from high school, I attended Quinsigamond community college where I then transferred to Worcester State University and graduated in computer science, I am also fluent in Spanish, I started with the company on 2022 as the new administrative manager and I am very excited for this opportunity to help the company and our customer grow together as we move to the future.
